No, we actually use what is called a forestry mulcher. It basically grinds the trees, brush, and any unwanted material into a type of mulch. This is good for the land as it then decomposes back into Mother Earth. We do not disturb the soil or re-contour any land with this process.
It is a very “green” way to actually clear your land so you can then have more healthy growth in the areas we tend to.
We use a variety of equipment and literally can get anything we need. Most often we use a large Bobcat with a forestry mulcher. We also use a grapple on every job to pick up loose material on the job site and move it to another location where it can be loaded, mulched, or burned. Often, we use a small excavator to help lift some of the dead fall or reach things we cannot reach with the bobcat. Whatever your particular situation will call for, we have the equipment to accomplish this mission and make your project looks like Central Park!
Yes! One of our specialties is removing the vines from trees. Grape Vines in this area of the country can grow to be very thick and are amazingly strong. With that said, we need to be careful when pulling the vines out of the tree as they can actually snap the tree. Understand that when a vine is mulched, it is sometimes left in strips simply because of the material itself. But, we've had very good success with the complete destruction of most of the vines on a client’s property.
Most of the mulch will be left on the ground spread out in an even manner. If you would like, we can gather this into piles for your future use! You can use it to landscape or start a compost pile. Understand that this is not perfectly refined mulch as it is all different sizes and different types depending on what we actually mulched.
No, actually we are rescuing your land and the forest! We're freeing the land so good growth can take place. We remove invasive species, vines that grow up the tree trunks to choke and kill the trees, and simply free your land. You now have more sunlight, rain, and air that will flow which will promote positive growth.
Since the mulcher can actually pull some of the roots out, and in some cases can actually go sub-soil, many of these items will not grow back. But as we all know... weeds are weeds, and some of them do come back. If this is a concern, it is imperative that you treat the area soon after the job is completed. This will help you keep the weeds under control.
Major Dave will personally visit your project location, conduct a detailed inspection, and present you with a written estimate.
